Happy June everyone! Can you believe its almost summer!? This year seems to be flying by!
I have the final edesign plan to show you today for my client who was looking to add finishing touches to her family’s living room, dining and kitchen areas. The last space that ties it all together is the entry.
If you recall in my first post, they had sage green walls in the kitchen, a creamy yellow paint color in the living room, and a neutral beige in the entry. To tie all of the areas together, I used a neutral color palette throughout and added small accents of green and yellow to make everything flow.
The entry is pretty large and open with tall ceilings and a staircase to the second floor. The space lacked storage which is important with 3 kiddos; so I added a few hooks for jackets and back packs and a storage bench with baskets to hide shoes and random items that get left in the entry way. I also added a mirror and a few frames for family pictures on the walls.
Entry ways are usually the last thought of any home design, but they set the stage for the rest of the home. That being said, it’s important to not over design entry ways but be sure the decor flows with the other areas of the home.
