Pretty Fall Entrances

It’s my absolute most favoritest (yes, I said favoritest) time of year! FALL! Charlie and I are so glad we got married right before fall began so we can enjoy the beautiful weather and endless activities, instead of working on wedding playlists and DIY decorations. We can get back to enjoying God’s beautiful creation…right here in good ol’ Virginia!

This weekend (yes I’m thinking about the weekend already, aren’t you!?) our plan is to head out to the mountains for a hike, one of our favorite things to do together. Although our trail selection may be limited due to this whole government shut down (ugh), we are hoping to see some pretty fall foliage.

I also, of course, love fall decorating! It’s all about using nature for decorating inspiration and I just adore that. To unwind, I like to sit down with a big, warm cup of tea (yay it’s cold enough for tea!) and browse home magazines. All the pretty decor, gardens, and fall recipes make me feel all warm and fuzzy.

The front porches and entrances are my favorite because it sets the tone for the house making it feel cozy and inviting. Unfortunately we are still going through boxes from our move, and will be for the foreseeable future, so a pretty front porch will have to go on the back burner for us. I did manage, however to plant a few pots and set out some pumpkins, I mean how could I resist?

Maybe next year we can do something like this…
